From the U.S. to Palestine - Freedom and Justice for All
What does visualizing justice entail? For us it looks like accountability and ending the complications of our governments funding injustice locally and globally, being intentional with technology we use, and even the products we buy.
Fifteen years ago, Palestinian civil society made the global call to all to engage in boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel until they comply with international law and recognizes Palestinian soverignty.
Fifteen years later and almost 250 calls for boycott, divestment and sanctions, progressives are beginning to understand the apartheid approach of the Israeli government against Palestinians and how they do not align with progressive policies of safety, dignity and justice for all.
We believe that accountability is essential to ensure justice for all. The US government has been protecting Israel’s human rights violations and international war crimes against the Palestinian people. The US government is complicit by protecting Israel from accountability.
Together, we must divest from the oppression our government is perpetuating globally in our name.
We have the power to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, uplift their demands for boycott, divestment and sanctions and to demand a complete political shift of US foreign policy.
The time is now, as Palestinians have been in the struggle for freedom for the past 70 years. Since then, 750,000 + Palestinians have been expelled from their home, mass incarceration of Palestinians held in administrative detention has grown, the right of return to historical homeland is still denied, and land theft of graves, cemeteries, and Palestinian neighborhoods are in an imminent threat to make way for Jewish-only theme parks and gardens.
Visualizing justice for all is not a long term venture which needs years of planning and strategy. Visualizing justice for all must happen within our lifetime. We must not wait any longer and take action now.
Join us and demand justice for all, from US to Palestine.
