share your #FlyingWhileMuslim story

I have an Afrikan name & always wear my head covering although I’m not Muslim by faith. When i go through TSA, I’m sometimes asked to “come with me; we need to do a physical search.” I reluctantly comply knowing that otherwise, it will delay my travels. I feel violated because it’s truly unexpected. I fear & pray for Muslims (including some of my family members) when they travel.

Have you ever received a response or resolution from either an airline, airport or government official regarding the discrimination you experienced? If so, what was the response or the result?

I didn’t bring it up or complain to the airport.

Has the discrimination you've faced made it harder for you to travel? If so, in what ways and at what cost?

I have still travelled & do still plan to travel.

What was your reaction to the No-Fly List leak story? how did it make you feel?

That leak is telling & reiterates how the US treats people, not taking into account the Constitution.
