I hate that our faith is so misunderstood and we are so persecuted.

I was going through TSA with my partner who purchased our tickets and has TSA pre-check which *should* have meant I could go through without a pat down. Surprise, the agent saw my name and I was "randomly selected" for a search.
Have you ever received a response or resolution from either an airline, airport or government official regarding the discrimination you experienced? If so, what was the response or the result?
Nope.
Has the discrimination you've faced made it harder for you to travel? If so, in what ways and at what cost?
It's anxiety-inducing, knowing I have to factor in an extra hour (at least) to travel. It's embarrassing when flying with friends who don't have traditionally Muslim names or Arabic passports; I have to explain and re-explain why I will likely be "randomly selected" and pulled aside for twice the time it takes them to stroll through the gates.
What was your reaction to the No-Fly List leak story? how did it make you feel?
I'm not surprised but it's so depressing. I hate that our faith is so misunderstood and we are so persecuted.
