Aydin Anwar (she/her)

Senior CAMPAIGN MANAGER

Aydin serves as the Senior Campaign Manager for MPower Change. An ethnic Uyghur from the DC suburbs, Aydin spent her late high school and college years fighting China’s genocide of the Uyghurs. She has spoken on many media outlets and around college campuses, educating the community about occupied East Turkistan and mobilizing people to take action. Aydin is a former fellow of TRT World, where she picked up skills in journalism. She also did field work on Uyghur refugees, and worked to tell stories of former Uyghur political prisoners through writing and film. Aydin received a Bachelors of Arts from Duke University. Upon graduating, she worked as the Save Uyghur Team Lead for Justice For All and as a Community Organizer for CAIR-Washington, advocating for oppressed Muslims worldwide. Outside of work, Aydin is kept busy as a mom of a toddler and infant. She loves to cook Uyghur food and bake new and fun desserts.
