Staying Safe, Connected and Spiritual in another #DigitalRamadan
#DigitalRamadan has made a comeback again this year, bridging Muslims together- digitally for the 2nd Ramadan in COVID-19.
While keeping each other safe and socially distanced, #DigitalRamadan was a carefully curated resource to keep the Ramadan spirit alive.
This years #DigitalRamadan included spiritual resource guides, activities for children and even delicious recipes for you to make for iftar!
Some spiritual resources included lessons, webinars and interactive programs provided by Celebrate Mercy, the Majlis, and the Qalam Institute. We even made sure to provide inclusive resources such as a New Muslim ELearning guide and 5 Resources for New Muslims to welcome in new Muslims this year!
What makes this years #DigitalRamadan special was the inclusivity of the resources provided.
We wanted to create an environment where Muslims can tap into the website and find everything they need - from mental health resources, to fun games and activities for the children as well as guides for family and community bonding.
It was a balanced online community which accounted for spiritual education, community care and bonding and safe at-home guides to make this year’s Ramadan stronger and connected than any other Ramadan.
Also during #DigitalRamadan, we hosted May Day: Love, Justice and Healing which included Seemi Gazi, Omid Shafi and other guests who taught us how we can use our faith to guide us to act in mercy, compassion and love.
While Ramadan ended about six months ago - the resources and community built from #DigitalRamadan lives on and is relevant throughout the year.
